Was wondering why the price is so high for a rice cooker. Besides the sleek design, it seems like it has a bunch of extra features that are really niche. I don't need my rice cooker to talk to me.

Scored the 3 cup version of this a week or so ago during the prime pre owned sale. Got lucky and paid ~$130 for a mint condition one. 3 cups is more than enough for 2 people. Amazing rice cooker, but I would not pay more than double for the 6 cup

You would have to be CUCKOO to spend this much on a rice cooker.

This is true.
I would rather spend this kind of money on a nice hooker instead of a rice cooker.

Bought a small rice cooker in Walmart for 30 bucks, 5 years ago and still using it today. This over price rice cooker good for decorating around the holiday season ☺️

Move along if rice is not your main diet. You can use rice cooker to make other dishes such as korean braised short ribs.

They last a very long time, cuckoo is a brand name of ricer cookers.

Like Tiger is from Japan, I think Cuckoo is from Korea.

On the other side of the world, asians take their rice cooking very seriously. Everyone has a different use case.

The ignorance in this post is astonishing. Lol.

Move along of you don't eat rice. Any top major Asian brand rice maker will cost $$$$.

Yeah...people talking smack about expensive rice cookers have never used one before. Grew up with tiger rice cookers, moved out, got a cheap cooker and realized how good I had it

Anyone use the Tofu Vic calculator to find out how much rice you have to cook to make this thing even remotely worth it?

Maybe I'm just ignorant. But if you re-read the question, you'll find there's nothing ignorant about it. It's actually a really deep SD/TP joke.

But seriously... 540 pots of rice at $.50 still doesn't seem worth it. 1,080 at a quarter a piece? Isn't that defeating the purpose of eating rice, when you double the price of the rice?

Just trying to find the slickness here.
