There is absolutely no way but this is not compatible. If you have an Xfinity modem/router you should disable the router functionality and make it a bridge.

This is a great wifi router for OpenWrt. I got it from Aliexpress for a little bit cheaper than this 7 months ago, flashed it with the official OpenWrt firmware, and replaced my old Google nest wifi router. It's been much more stable and reliable, and I'm very happy with it. I recommend it to anyone who wants to break free from proprietary firmware and take back their privacy and freedom.

Does anyone know if this router supports bandwidth measurement per device? It seems like a small feature but I bought a pricey TP-Link and it can't report any useful stats.

If you're comfortable reconfiguring your router after every firmware update, this model may be worth considering. Just search for the recently released 4.8.2 update to see how it's performing.

This is a phenomenal router, but the Flint 3 is already available with 6GHz support. The Flint 2 is only 2.4 and 5GHz.

I have my own modem. It's a motorrolla mb8611. I don't know a whole lot on this subject. I'll have to Google what a bridge is. My old router worked in 5 minutes speaking to Xfinity. I'm tempted to buy this router again and give it a second shot but I've already returned some expensive things and don't want Amazon to ban me

I've owned this since the pre-release versions and have never had to reconfigure anything after a firmware update.

If you look at the online reviews, you'll find some comparisons where this router is better than the 3 for certain things like VPN. Also I think the 3 uses broadcom chips while this one is mediatek, which seems to have better open source driver support.

I have a feeling it was a firmware issue. Out of the box mine wouldn't work with Cox, but then a firmware update popped up. Updated the firmware, and it worked like a charm.

You should be able to go to their website and manually download the latest firmware then perform a local upgrade of the firmware.
