šŸ‘Ž BOSGAME M4 Plus with 7940HS is a bad deal. You can get a GMKTEC K11 with 8945HS (32gb, 1tb) for same price.

šŸ¤” 7840HS price seems okay, if you don't need AI. IT's about $50 more for an 8000 series equivelent APU in a mini, plus almost 4x AI capabilities.

Gaming should be the same on all of these. Within margin of error.

The 7840hs NPU is 10 TOPS and the 8840hs NPU is 16 TOPS with another 20ish TOPS coming from the identical GPU in both. With AMD's lacking AI software support, the difference in NPUs barely matters for most home AI, though 8840HS meets MS Copilot standards. AMD's Strix Halo that can feed a ton of superfast system RAM to the GPU is probably the product to get if you want to do AI at home, but it will cost a minimum of $1500.

8840HS has 39 TOPS and is newer.

The website says 39 TOPS total - 16 TOPS from NPU = 23 TOPS from the 780M GPU. They picked 39 TOPS because it is minimum acceptable TOPS for MS Windows Copilot.
For some reason total TOPS for the 7840hs is not listed in AMD's website. 7840HS will have 10 TOPS from the NPU and 23 TOPS from the 780M GPU for a total of 33 TOPS.
But the software framework for AMDs NPU is basically nonexistent right now, so for most Home AI purposes they both use the GPU. Even that is broken compared to Nvidia.

We had a deal on 7840hs and 32gb ram 1TB bosgame for under 400. This is not a good eal.
