So obviously we just had this exact laptop for sale from Walmart Direct for $950, and if you have a time machine great, if you don't though I think at $1050 this is still basically the gaming laptop deal to beat at the 5060 level of the market. Incredible screen, good performance, great build quality, lightweigh (for a gaming laptop 4.3~lbs). And unlike the I7 for $1200 that has been promoted a good bit, this gets 6-7 hours of battery on web browsing, the I7 gets under 2. I know because I bought the I7 when it first came out. Loved everything, but the battery life was basically unusuable.
Other things to note, yes there is a second open SSD slot, and yes a second open DRAM slot, so you can add a 16 GB stick to go to 32 (and improve performance some) or replace both and go way way higher.
Sold by Antonline on Walmart FULFILLED BY WALMART which means it has the Walmart returns through end of January and returns to any store, so you can buy this and slow roll for a better deal.
Also the 3 year allstate warranty with drop and accident protection is $88, $98 for 4 years. Specs ripped from the $949 post.

There is still nothing at this price point on or off sale that competes with this laptop. And the main reason this is a good pick is Walmart fulfilled and free returns through January 31st. BF and CM are over a month away, there is no reason if you want a laptop today to pass on a laptop at $100 more that beats everything else within a hundred plus dollars over it.
Like I would agree if this was a Best Buy purchase with a 14 day return policy, but you have 100~ days to return this.
As a comparison point, this deal went front page at $50 less today. This deal is trash compared to this Legion on every metric except touch screen which likely doesn't matter to almost anyone and a .9 inch screen size increase (which may). You may feel the below is a bad deal, I certainly do given the config and lack of expandable ram, but that isn't stopping people from buying it it would seem.

Although it's in stock at all stores, I know not everyone has accessibility to it. But this MC deal and the expired $949 deal makes this here more of a pass.
Okay. Thanks. You can kindly go away now. I will never understand why you are so condescending to literally everyone who has the audacity to even mildly disagree with you, but dude there is a way to disagree with someone without being like this. I have never said or done anything to you except occasionally comment on build qualities and other related things on your posts.
But just to be clear, I am well aware of the differences both in use cases and need. And no, that isn't a creator laptop. It's pretending to be one, because with 16 GBs of ram that isn't upgradeable you aren't creating anything except disappointment as you spend a grand on a laptop that will struggle at even the most basic of creator tasks in 2025, never mind if you plan to use it for more than a year or two.. But then you know that because you are aware of laptops and specs right? And that whether it's a "creator laptop" or not, a bunch of people in those threads won't know the difference and but it because it has a dedicated GPU.

That legion with the dim IPS display the extra half a pound of weight, and the third smaller battery that you can only get in store in some major cities makes this laptop that anyone can order today that literally nothing at it's price point beats or comes close to a bad deal? Oh and the icing on the cake since you condescendingly brought up specs? This Oled is also 100% DCI-P3 rated. You know that thing you brought up as being a big deal and suited for people who make content and create? I mean but you knew that right, you knowing all about specs and laptops and definitely not just chomping at the bit to be an ass to anyone who has the audacity to post a laptop deal other than yourself?
You bring up specs in one post, then act like that massively downrated Legion 5 is somehow comparable. It's nonsense. $150 for a 100% DCI-P3 Rated Oled with massively brighter output, a 33% larger battery, in a half lb less weight which by the way is a bigger weight gap than the one you thought important enough to bring up between this laptop and the Ideapad of disappointment, but here that weight difference? Doesn't matter. Screen difference? Who cares? Massive battery size difference and limited to only local Microcenter buyers? Nah makes this one you can buy today with a 100 day return policy a bad buy because maybe one day in the future there will be a better deal. But today there isn't and that includes the deal you went and bumped on your thread about Microcenter.
is easily worth the price difference here and as you pointed out, basically makes those different laptops entirely.
Edit: Lol... and the IPS screen is 1920*1200? Dude... give me a break. You brought up the 1800 vs 1600 as some huge deal, but apparently the 400 pixel gap here is nothing to care about. I have always felt like you were a bit over the top in your response to people, but you just categorically came onto my thread, where I even REFERENCED the lower price from a few days ago and decided to be rude while ironically screwing up the specs on this laptop vs the Ideapad and having a huge smarter than the room attitude going on. If you were capable of embarrassment you would feel it, but then if you were capable of embarrassment you wouldn't be like this.

lol. Yeah dude, you got me, the person who openly said "this is worse than some deals we just had but better than what we have right now" is triggered that you trashed the deal by "just explaining". Because that's what normal people call "it's clear you're not aware of specs and laptops" to someone who you know from my prior posts is, and then the sheer audacity to then SCREW UP THE SPEC COMPARISON right after saying that?
Then to just casually double down on it here?
And you didn't provide "facts" on why they should wait. You referenced black friday and then say "wait a few days and not months". Black Friday is over a month away and again, I cannot stress enough the return policy on this laptop and the simple fact that nothing at it's price point beats it, and if you had seen this a day before the walmart deal went live you would have posted it and it would have sold great.
But yeah I'm a bit triggered by someone being rude, and expressing categorically wrong claims. Call me triggered, but there is a reason on a semi daily basis someone points out you are rude on here. If everyone else is the asshole, it's probably you actually.

Like I said, it does seem you are a bit unaware of laptops, their specs, and prices. No shame in that.

Oh yeah? So when comparing the Ideapad creator that is a good deal, vs this which isn't, and you brought up 100% DCI-P3 coverage as a differentiator that wasn't you implying this Legion OLED which also has 100% DCI-P3 coverage didn't in fact have that?
So just to recap the Ideapad is a totally different kind of laptop because from your list it has a better screen because of slightly higher pixel count (12.5%) and a slightly different aspect ratio, it weighs a third of a lb less, and has DCI-P3 coverage (which this Legion also has). So comparing to that is proof I don't know anything about laptops or specs. But your comparison to a Legion 5 with 25% less pixels, that weighs a half a lb more, has atrocious color coverage and a tiny battery is a totally valid comparison and not just you trying to be right at all costs?
Yeah that checks out. I mean sure the difference between this Legion and the MC one is bigger on every metric that you brought up than the difference between this Legion and the Ideapad that is a totally different use case (which btw multiple posts now on that thread talking about gaming on it lol).
You know the funny thing, when I brought up that terrible ideapad (and it is a TERRIBLE purchase with only 16 GBs of ram) front page, I expected since it wasn't your post for your response to be "yeah that is also a terrible deal and doesn't make this Legion you post a good deal", not for you to try to defend that laptop as "a good deal actually, I mean you can create all the things with 16 GBs of soldered ram making a 255H have zero ability to actually do anything of value".
Anyways, sorry you showed up had an attitude, linked to your worse MC laptop as comparable and ended up looking foolish. You could have just disagreed politely like a normal human being, my guess is you get commission from Slickdeals from your laptop posts, and anyone who posts competing deals regardless of quality is bad for you. And that's fine, I think you should get compensation, you are a huge contributor to Slickdeals. Just wish you were a bit less of an ass while doing it.
My cousin bought this laptop for 1200 with the 14th gen I7, she ended up returning it towards the end of the return period because the battery life was terrible. We then got her the laptop in the OP from Lenovo directly off of one of Dr.Ws deal posts for around 1100 I think. No issues with the return, even though she had thrown away the box like a dunce lol. Given the 100 day return policy on this laptop to any walmart store, it's relatively safe to buy as well.
Oh also, welcome to Slickdeals/congrats on your first post. It's not usually like this.
