OR what about 5% back post-tax with Discover this quarter at Amazon? That's the best deal, imo.
There's also the 5% you get as a prime card holder everyday, on every purchase from Amazon anyways? Sometimes an extra 5% if you're a prime young adult user..

This is the big difference, if we are going to get ¨picky¨. You don't need to apply for a traditional credit card to get the red card, or at least it wasn't that way. You get a debit card which is not the same. For the discounts you mentioned, both are credit cards. However, you missed my point, which is Amazon, again just copying other reatailers offers, instead of them doing their own thing, which will benefit all of us.

You're right. Amazon is just a price follower, not a leader. I prefer to give business to Target and BestBuy when I can.
