For teeth? Darn, I wanted a flosser for somewhere else.
Anyway, I own a similar product from a different company, these water flossers work pretty well. Fast and effective compared to regular flossing and you don't have to deal with the floss getting stuck.
Had a similar one (brand: H2oFlosser) that I was able to use for 2 years until it stopped working last night. Got it for $8 as well. This is a good product for its price. There's another water flosser posted here in SD that I purchased prior to seeing this.
I'm curious how this compares to a Waterpik. I just had a dental cleaning today and the hygienist said I don't need to use a water flosser but it wouldn't hurt to in addition to regular flossing. Maybe this is a decent starter option.

The $69 Waterpik portable flosser I had was junk. Waterpik flossers are made in china.
In contrast the two different $10 china brand flossers (Bitvae & Coslus) I got in similar deals have been rock solid and work great.
I think you hygienist is crazy on the fist part but the second is true. I strongly recommend that you try water flossing. You can do that and continue to use regular flossing but the thing I find great and that will help with dental health is that using one of these is much easier than string which equates to for me to you more likely to do it. I have got in the habit of water flossing not just after every meal but snack and sometimes even drinks.
They also shown to help more than string for those that have or are prone to gum disease. Studies also show that water flossing removes more plaque.
