Does anyone know what the actual difference is between the different Roebic enzyme septic treatment products. For example, Roebic K-97 Main Line Cleaner, Roebic K-37-H Septic Tank Treatment, and Roebic K-57-H "Emergency Care" Septic System Treatment.

For example, is K-57 the same as K-37 only stronger? They tend to be the same price.

How does this compare vs Instant Power Eco Clog Preventer - which is also an enzyme based drain cleaner? Lowe's has it for ~$6 for similar size:

Rid-X is another powdered bio cleaner for pipes and septic. An occasional scoop seems to help with the kitchen sink.

Choose K-57 for an emergency clog to quickly resolve a backup or sluggish system, while K-37 is for routine, long-term septic tank maintenance to liquefy waste and prevent clogs. K-97 is a specific treatment for the main line to digest grease and paper, which is part of the maintenance program but not a general emergency or tank-only product.

I think the powder is good if you are getting high percentage of LYE, as I think that is ALL that are in these, with maybe added dishsoap like grease cutters. So if you can get Lye for cheap, which you can, add some Dawn and water...you got this stuff, but full control of strength.

I tried two bottles to reduce build ups in the pipe. I didn't see any difference. What really helped was using the Drano Max Gel Drain Clog Remover. That thing kept our pipe crystal clean. But I stopped using it because I was told it will damage my cast iron pipe. I just started using Bio-Clean Drain as routine maintenance. I have yet to determine if this product makes any difference.
