Got a refurbished xm5 on prime day for less. These are well worth the $100 range. Totally over priced at 400.

Could you hear people talking? I just had a flight last week and with these on, with noise cancellation on, I could hear people talking. Now if I was playing music I couldn't hear anyone, with no music and NC on fully, I could still hear people taking. Sony's support/website does say that's normal for voices to still be heard.

They're def excellent headphones even if u buy the for 200$ new I bought mine refurbished for 160$ almost 3 yrs ago no issues w nothing explained here. But common issue u will face is that the hinge on left side will fall apart where u swivel them it's a design defect. Can buy on AliExpress for 1-2$ I bought bought side hinges and ear pads to replace. YouTube video shows its like 10 mins to repair and everyone experiences it after a while. I have the blue color and the sound/bass is stellar range noise cancellation is great ofc its normal to hear people if the music isn't playing common aspect of noise cancelling headphones. Sony app has updates and u can adjust the noise cancellation to be lower or higher

It's normal to hear them a little bit but not too much without the music playing

Ye def no way any apple product beats Sony, every replacement parts for any AirPods pro max or whatever is gonna be super expensive. Always pass on any apple headphone product I fine. Updating the firmware, people say is the problem and causes these issues. That's the first thing I did too when I got them.
