very unreliable for heart rate monitoring and even sleep monitoring isn't the best.
this is an expensive shiny accessory that has little real world utility, especially if you want reliable data
Oura Ring 4 is positioned as a sleek sleep and heart rate tracker that works well for people who want health data without wearing a watch. The deal can stack with the $200 Amex Oura annual credit, and pickup at Best Buy has worked with the charge still counting toward the credit. The main catch is the ongoing subscription, which makes the ring feel expensive over time, especially since shipping may still apply. It is a more compelling fit if you value ring form factor over smartwatch features.
Shoppers using an Amex Oura credit, because the purchase can stack with the credit and still qualify for pickup.
Sleep-focused athletes who want finger-based tracking, because it is described as a solid sleep tracker with mostly accurate heart-rate monitoring outside the wrist.
Yes. A monthly subscription is required to see the data, and the ring is described as having little value without it because the core app features are behind that recurring fee.
Yes. The purchase can stack with the $200 Amex Oura annual credit, and the credit has posted within a few days when ordered through Oura and picked up at Best Buy.
No, not if you already know your size. The order can be completed with the free sizing kit option, and having a kit at home is enough to choose the ring size.

I'll let my $200 Amex coupon go to waste rather than buy this for $75 and pay them a perpetual subscription fee to access my data

There are only a couple of devices that track sleep better and are in the same price range or cheaper according to his analysis. They're also both wrist devices along with all of the other devices that aren't an Eight Sleep Pod or Polar H10 (chest strap) with Nukkuaa.
Anyone serious about precises HR tracking while exercising needs to just simply wear a Polar H9 or H10 or spend the very serious coin to snag a Garmin/Apple watch. I also don't recommend wearing a ring in general if you're lifting weights to avoid horrific injury which again makes any other device preferable for HR/Exercise tracking.
But there really isn't a better ring device for people who want a solid sleep tracker (along with everything else it provides) and mostly accurate HR monitor that isn't a wrist device. Who wants to wear a watch, Whoop strap (as heavy as a watch), or chest strap to bed to track sleep and HR??

Google "degloving" and you'll see what I'm referencing...
I like how my fingers work and prefer to keep them uninjured and more specifically... attached!
But even without injury risk I wouldn't want to damage my ring, either. I tend to take it off if I'm working with metal objects but definitely do not wear it if I'm weight training.

Just throwing this out there for anybody that wants a smart ring and doesn't want to spend this kind of money on one (and have to deal with a subscription). Check out the "Colmi R02" or any of the other Colmi models. They can be purchased for $20 or less at places like Aliexpress. It has the Colmi app you can download, but the neat part is that it also works with an open source software called GadgetBridge that keeps all health information on device and doesn't share data.
I bought the Colmi R02 around 6 months ago as a secondary device to my Galaxy Watch. It's fairly close to the Galaxy watch for steps and heart rate tracking (maybe 10% off at most) and it consistently gets around a week of battery life (with heart rate tracking every 10 minutes).
Only thing that drives me nuts is I can't get it to work with Android Extended Unlock, which is like the main reason I initially bought it 😂
How'd you know what size to order?
