This. Alpha UX Pearl for $400 is better than even the $1300 Toto S7. I've looked at them all. Brondell Swash 1400, Biobidet BB-2000, Ultra-NOVA, Toto C5, and even the Alpha's own JX2. The JX2 is a great deal for the money, but for just a little bit more, nothing compares to everything the UX Pearl in the price range especially aestheticly. Related to the this thread, it has unlimited heated water (tankless system), heated seat, oscillating nozzle, front and back wash, dryer, deodorizer, adjustable pressure, remote, LED light, user profiles to save settings for 2 people, etc. That model also has a version with auto lid opening based motion detection, but I opted to not get that one.

I got an alpha pearl bidet and it's been great. Has auto open, close and it's tankless. had the brondell swash from Costco before when it was on sale, it wasn't great. seat didn't get that warm and the dryer wasn't good.

I had a biobidet and the seat had a seam since it appeared to be a 2 part seat. Absolutely gross and anyone that has this knows what I mean... I said I won't do it again but it is seemingly not that easy to find. Does anyone know if this model has a "seamless" seat?

It's not seamless. There is a toothpick sized seem and it is nasty in between but only noticeable if youre anal. I have to figure out how to clean it.

I would take a lysol wipe, and use my fingernail to help clean it, of course, not directly, but over the wipe, it seems to be doing the job..

The only thing that "satisfied" me was using a steam cleaner. But that is very inconvenient relative to how often you want to wipe down a toilet seat. My bio bidet broke and I said I can't go back, but here I am... waiting. The powerless water only bidets are sufficing for now.

Where are you seeing the UX Pearl for $400? It's $600 on their website.

Use a toothbrush. Just don't forget to wash it before brushing your teeth 🪥😉

I bought the outgoing model of this unit reduced to $250 and wish I had bought then for both toilets.

I have half a mind to get this one. My understanding is they've just moved the controls from being on the side of the seat to a controller that you can place wherever is convenient.

I got the older C200 model of this 10 years ago for $320, so this is a good deal today. I also recently got the newer (and much more expensive) S7+ for a different bathroom so I have some comparison points.
The "luxury remote" that comes with this version is indeed nice, with hard plastic buttons. Much better than the old style remote or the on-bidet controls which used membrane covered buttons and had a tendency to wear over time. Despite it not being tankless, I don't think we've ever had someone run out of warm water with our family of 5. After 10 years, the flap that covers the wand occasionally got stuck on the wand when retracting, binding the mechanism. I whittled down the plastic on the wand that had gotten jagged, it looks to have solved the problem. The S7 appears to have an internal cam than opens the flap rather than pushing it open with the wand instead. Hopefully this model has that too.
The S7+ was much more expensive for auto open and close and auto flush. The spray pressure is also increased. I certainly appreciate it, but not really sure I'd say it's worth it for the upgrade for most people.
Both Toto's were easy to install, had great instructions and came with all the parts and fittings. The Alpha models have me curious, but overall I've been happy with Toto and would still consider them first.
