Looks like they might be price matching HomeDepot, who has the same price, but different varieties.

Edit: HD doesnt have this particular variety. They have another 'pugster' (smaller) and a couple other regular butterfly bushes. https://www.homedepot.com/s/2%20g...eia?NCNI-5

Nice! Bought 8 maximum from the last deal (2 different varieties of buddliea), and just picked up 4 more. Arrived quickly, packed quite well, and plants were very healthy. Highly recommend.

Possibly, but they're about to go dormant, too..so may be simply defoliated. Especially in colder climates.
