No volume on remote. I have no idea why they don't standardize their remotes?

As a former Fire stick user, U agree. Roku has a better interface and far less annoying experience. Also, over the years, Roku hardware never feels slow, while 4k Firesticks I bought 2 years ago seeming slow now.

Great price and triggered my Roku alert but I've really come to love the volume controls on the side of the remote and this one doesn't have it. Or could I buy another one and pair it?

Because people like Roku... not much of a functional difference, but I prefer the Roku interface.

Neither Roku or current fire stick allows sideloading.

For me, Roku allows the Spectrum app and Fire TV does not.
