Gen2 of this same model is also $400, if anyone cares. Looks like the biggest improvement is 2000W operating wattage compared to 1600W in previous generation.

I would get one, but don't have enough reasons to use it before the 10yr "life cycle" is up. I can think of only a few uses, and maybe once every year.

What? This does not have an expiry date. Why do you assume it will only work for 10 years? I mean don't get me wrong it's electronics and might break but I don't get why you think it has expiration.

Just alone the UPS is worth it. I have 2 Alienware laptops and bunch of other appliances running off this.

I was looking through the product page and it mentioned a 10yr span

No these batteries, especially lifepo4 can be discharged for like 4000-7000 or more times. That means you can empty this battery every day once and even after 10 years the battery will still maintain 80% of its capacity. That is why they are used in cars.

Careful for anyone expecting to return easily if you don't want it or change your mind, or even if you have issues, Amazon may still have stipulations that it is not returnable.

I bought at Lowes so that worst case I had a local store for an exchange if faulty for similar price in the last 3-4 months.

Good deal if you will use it!

Bought this a year ago and used during to power outages. Runs my 34 cu ft French door fridge for 18 hours. That minimal opening.
