From what I have seen, read and "felt" in store these are basically a step down across the board from equivalent Lenovos and ASUS ROGs, but many many tiers above MSI and ACER on build quality. Like the Oman Max doesn't really have any body or lid flex even when picking up by a single corner (which you shouldn't do, but it's a good test and also I do it randomly so whatever). I would say the main place you can "feel" the difference between this and a Legion is the keyboard has some flex under pressure/isn't as nice to type on vs a Legion. My understanding though is that the cooling on these is top notch, The ram can be upgraded and there is an open SSD slot.
Other than that, this looks like a great deal on a great laptop. Personally if I was in the market today for a new gaming laptop I would take a Omen Max over a Legion Pro 5/7/9 because the current gen Legions removed the rear power/HDMI ports which is a deal breaker for me personally.
Edit: Removed incorrect information on how the heatsink is installed. It doesn't block the SECOND SSD port or the ram slots, it blocks the first though, probably not a big deal with an open slot and 1 TB in the primary.
I have heard a lot of anecdotal random problems with ASUS QC. Seems less systemic and more random which is honestly a bit more annoying to me. At least i can avoid bad models, I can't know what you forgot to test when building the machine lol.
My issue with Acer is more about build quality on their current generation gaming laptops. The ones I messed with at microcenter were awful. Like 2k dollar gaming laptop with a screen lid that was so weak opening it from the center bowed it like a third of an inch. Never seen a screen lid that structurally bad. Body had lots of flex as well. I mean I would still take it over a MSI any day, but it wasn't great feeling.

I just hope this deal comes to other online stores.
I personally would take the Lenovo over the HP Omen Max even with the graphics card difference. Screen and keyboard quality are both real important to me over years of use.
Only thing I really like the max for over the Legion Pros (not sure if that is a pro you linked, link didn't work for me), is Omen max has rear power and HDMI which is important to me.
I have an xps 15 9520 with intel iris xe graphics card and nividia rtx 3050 and it aways uses the intel iris xe graphics card unless the one program that I use which can use the nvidia 3050, I switch it to that.
I heard battery is really bad on intel laptops if you can't switch the graphics card when you are web browsing or youtube. Is that true or false?
