If it works well, why have so many people returned it?

Tending to believe the 1 star reviews. Im guessing it's just another pay to be on the front page ad.

I just happened to be looking at bolt extractors before I saw this deal. I was about to buy a different set that had some larger sizes, but I went with this one because it covered more in the range I would most likely need. This isn't a great deal, but since I was already looking, it's good enough.

I've used something similar to these, and as long as they still have bite left they're pretty good. With a lot of use, they lose the bite and you need to either grind down the bolt or hammer another size on. All in all they're fine, but even a flux core welder and a nut 1 size bigger is a more effective go to.

Because it's something you might need once and never use again.

Yeah, I bought a door cabinet hanger accessory tool that helps hold the cabinets together to drill some holes into them to attach them to each other. Well they arrived clearly in used condition even though they were supposed to be new. I used them once without damaging them at all and returned them.

Can anyone chime in on how well these would work for extracting rounded off lug nuts? I would think I should use 1/2" extractor sockets and 1/2" pry bar instead of 3/8" extractor sockets and using the included adapter to my 1/2" pry bar. Also, would deeper extractor sockets be a better long term investment since I could potentially use them again on potentially recessed lug nuts on different vehicles?
