Anyone know what the deal is here? Why $1000, if they don't even have them? I assumed overstock of an unpopular color, but they're not even at Sweetwater yet?

I actually dig the color, and I'm tempted at $1000 off, having owned a lot of LP copies at various levels, but never an actual Gibson (though have had a couple of Gibby SG's over the years), but was actually looking at other guitars.. trying to talk myself out of this one and having a hard time. If it were the white plain top it'd already be ordered. 🙃

For $1600 you get a real Les Paul versus getting a used one. Go ahead and buy one. You can try to wait to see if in the next day or two they change the color. Pelham Blue probably would have been my pick of the 5 colors, but the green may actually look nicer in person.

There were some when this deal posted, I saw 2 in stock when I first went to the page... less than an hour later they were sold, probably because this is a really good deal.
