this is literally the base price at costco. Not a deal.

I've been wanting one of these and they all seem like generic Chinese junk. Should I just assume Costco carries a good one

Everytime I see these at Costco I can't help but think that they're specifically marketed to naive homeowners or people who cant tell a hammer from a screwdriver...Absolutely no attention to ergonomics at all - definitely not meant for even a moderate amount of use.

Not really a good middle ground. Compare M12 fuel installation driver with 0 - 400 / 0 - 1,600 RPM, and 1/2/3 Nm clutch and 30Nm drill

I have the regular version of this and not a fan of it. Wouldn't recommend.

I got this from Costco in store at $50 and it's fine. I was strongly leaning toward returning it, but it is very light and my 5 year old daughter used it to help me put together Ikea kids steps and so will keep it. It does not compare to professional brand tools, but it is a handy thing to have around for simple tasks. It is quite wide, so I don't really see ever using it in the straight 180-degree orientation.

I've tried all sorts of these "electric screwdrivers", and they invariably suck. Just not enough torque to even remove a simple electronic screw (I use them mainly for assembling 3d-printed parts with M3 and M4 screws).

I ended up getting the Dewalt Flexdrive screwdriver, and it's perfect. Have been using it as my general-purpose hobbyist screwdriver, but is also able to drill into drywall, and handles lesser projects with ease. J
