Dyson's like Apple selling a bunch of old models for less money. They all suck about the same but newer ones usually have better battery life and a bunch of useless features.
V8? Isn't that really old now? I thought I saw a v15 for the same price last week.
The cheapest I'm seeing a V15 is 400-350 and that's for a refurb (I've been on the lookout for a V15 & currently own a V8).
This deal is for a brand new V8, which, as you pointed out, is pretty old. Personally, I wouldn't buy this, even if it's your first Dyson, as it should be cheaper than this by now.
Speaking from personal experience, we've used our V8 A TON ever since we first bought it but it's been through the ringer... mine is literally being held together by electrical tape in several places... We've also had to replace the dust been as the latch broke.

V12 has over V8:
- "Laser" fluffy head
- Higher suction (23%)
- Anti-Tangle on the carpet roller
- No need to hold in the trigger (!)
- Supports battery quick-change (if you want multiple)
- LED showing time remaining
- Lighter
V8 should be $200 in 2025. The V12 at $700+ is insane, but on the $400 sale it is fairly priced.Join The Conversation
