My hallway (1956) has no outlets and one hallway light. I placed these on top of our doors. My daughters would always leave the hallway light on. I love that you can set the light bright white or mello yellow. Big difference. I haven't charged them in two weeks. I highly recommend this one. The way I look at it, I would save money on my electric bill too.
