It gives me the retail price. Is there a promo code or something we're missing?
These are all on sale on HD. Lots of sale deals that have batteries attached to them. The ones from Clarks Tool are tool only. Some of these are good deals, others you'd be better off grabbing it from HD with the free battery.

In some cases yes……Stubby Impacts though would be no.
Home Depot - $229 with 'FREE BATTERIES' + 8% sales tax = $244
Clarks Tool - $143 + $59 same batteries = $202
So roughly 20% more to buy from Home Depot.
There are several other examples. As for the $400 threshold……it's $10 for shipping so still less than HD's price above. And if you're building out your home setup you can easily hit $400. Worth it to round out you set and save the tax.

Yeah, he's talking about the "free" batteries that cost 20% more. Not really a deal. Even if you do the return hack the stubby ends up costing more than $143. Plus you have to drive to HD to do the return. 30 miles each way for me.
Caulk Gun is another example.
HD $179 with 'free' batteries. Plus tax = $193
Clarks Tool is $107 + $59 same batteries = $166. Even if you pay $10 shipping you're at $176.
Just checked a few more. Clarks Tool is also cheaper on the die grinder, shop vac, cutoff tool, rapid charger, nail gun, 5a batteries……..OK, I can't check any more.

the bundle is 230 right now, but it does down to 160 every 3-4 weeks. both the 3/8 and 1/2" version
