Amazon just can't get rid of these crappy batteries fast enough! LMAO
These don't hold their charge as long as other brands, they're only good for a few items like kids toys and you'll need to charge them almost daily like the typical cell phone!

I didn't think they were THAT bad. Maybe I need to do some testing again. I tested a few out right out of the box and they seemed to be the right capacity, etc. It's possible my charger is crapping out though because I just tested some random batteries I found. Although one was crappy, the rest seemed fine. Some tested high by 10%. So again... Maybe EBL charger (for testing) isn't the best idea. I would probably just get the 24 pack (about a buck a piece) and then you get the year warranty through Amazon. If you're not happy, they'll probably take them back... Just a thought. But I go through batteries a lot.

Pricewise, you really can't beat the AAA precharged Amazon basic cells. They work fine for me. No. They're no Enloops, but I still think they're pretty good middle ground choice. And if you buy 24 ($16.07 at $0.67 a piece), you just can't beat that.... Are there better cells? Of course. Is there probably a better price. I doubt it. I'm not trying to shill for Amazon, but it's cheap okay!

EBL makes pretty mediocre batteries. I have a bunch I got on a great deal. Had and used them for several years now. When NEW, they do hit capacity specs. But internal resistance goes up FAST, capacity comes down. and the TERMINATION IN GOOD SMART CHARGERS IS POOR, even when new. They tend to overcharge and overheat, which doesn't help them at all.
They ARE well priced (cheap), and marketed well, so people buy them.
Personally I think these Amazon Basics are kind of in the same performance category, maybe a tad better. I bought 8 awhile ago. 7 'almost' met capacity spec. One was just plain DEAD.
Haven't had them long enough to know long term reliability and function.

EBL chargers are worse. Won't use them.

This is wildly incorrect. Every review that I have seen demonstrates that the Amazon AA NIMH batteries match their performance claims and typically come close to Eneloop quality despite costing 1/3rd the price. Not necessarily - the 2400 mah version only last 400-500 charges while the 1900 mah versions can be recharged 1000 times.
