Decent price, afaik 255 is similar to the 8845HS and the numerous variants of the 8 core CPU with 780M iGPU but just with a NPU. 64GB Ram version of this was on sale for $499 earlier this month at MC

Just saw a 32gb for $80 at amazon, doesn't look crazy to me. A little expensive but not crazy.

Is Oculink port functional out of the box or do you have to buy an M.2 adapter?
From their specs: "OCuLink х 1 (via M.2 to OCuLink adapter board)"

I was trying to get two sticks of 32gb which I have gotten before for $99 but now it is $200-$300 everywhere.

Maybe for that particular brand. But a simple amazon search shows they aren't "crazy" expensive as of today.

I have 3 of their older models and all of them are soldered unfortunately. A few years old and no issues. One I had to re apply thermal paste after running it for 2 years, 24-7. I installed linux and ran it as my home assist/cctv storage/unifi controller and plex media server.

Edit: In my experience, their customer service was good also. If I should need one of these mini pcs again, I will prolly get the same brand.

It is necessary for me. And I paid $99 for 64GB at the beginning of this year.

Unless your editing heavy 4k and above videos then yeah. But why use a mini pc to edit anyway? Lol
BUT whatever floats your boat. 64gb is NOT common for an ordinary user. 32gb is enough and still $80 is not CRAZY expensive.

I'm using it for a file server and streaming server.

The ddr5 for a single 32gb is $100, and 2x16gb is $110. Still not crazy expensive...
