Searching for a better value than chocolate bars, etc... for Halloween treats this year.
Sam's Club has its variety pack of 36 count for $8.98, so I thought I would share that.

It might be just my perception, but it seems like chocolate treats have doubled in price, even with sales, for the most part.

Yes. The slickness comes from paying less for treats to pass out for Halloween than the crazy prices for mini-chocolate bars and candies now.

It was a suggestion I got from Reddit, and it made a lot of sense to me! Everyone was saying how well-liked and memorable for trick or treaters to get cookies, and/or several other optional treats.

It's like how I've boycotted beef lately, and chosen other meats that are still reasonably priced.
Chicken, fish, pork.
Buying those at their normal sale prices is very slick for me.
