If we are spending for installation, we might as well get something that lasts longer without quality issues.
I'd love to say "I avoid Chinese political and child slave labor like the plague..." but alas... gina has her fingers in everything right now. So now I just try to buy what I find to be the best quality Chinese political and child slave labor products I can.

Anyway, I've bought everything from curtain lights to yard lights to tv backlights. All look and work great now as they did day one years ago.
Maybe you got a batch made by a kid who was having a bad day. Sometimes those political indoctrination...errr....political reeducation and remediation camps can be a yotch...
