I feel like my cat wouldn't use this. The cat in the picture looks like he's climbing out of the large hadron collider as it is.

Litter robot 4 tracks cat weight. It does have a basic cat sensor timer but not sure how they would improve on that.
Biggest improvement they need is more space for the cat. It's huge but it's cramped for cats. Need an open top design.

These litter boxes that rotate around and have no open top are awful to keep clean. This one is so much better (https://a.co/d/gMjoRKz)

If you don't care about accessories, for the last 2 years the Litter Robot 4 has been available from PetSmart around Black Friday and Christmas for around $450 after cash back from both PetSmart points and well-known CB sites. Considering the release of LR5, I'd expect LR4 deal to be the same or slightly better this year.

Got mine for $599 in local warehouse. Wasn't impressed with the LR5, $599 for the Costco bundle and extended warranty is pretty good!
