The PS5 Slim disc bundle stands out for getting the 1TB disc model and free shipping, with the disc version adding more storage and a drive that would cost about $80 separately. The console is described as running smoothly, and the extra controller add on is framed as useful backup value, especially for longer sessions or local multiplayer. The main drawback is price, since the deal is compared unfavorably with past Black Friday PS5 bundles and cheaper used or open box options. The promo code also stopped working, so the offer appears to have expired.

  • PS5 players who are going to start playing right away because one commenter said "if you're going to play right away then buy it," instead of waiting for a lower price later.

  • People who want a smooth-running PS5 without upgrading soon because one commenter reported their PS5 Slim 1TB disc has been running smoothly for 1.5 years and said there's "no need to upgrade to ps6," calling it a great deal.

  • Buyers who can use the disc version for physical games and want the extra storage because commenters noted the disc model adds a disc drive and 1TB storage (vs the digital model's 825GB) for about $50 more.

  • Shoppers who are willing to compare against used-market pricing and still want a new console because one commenter said they keep an eye on eBay/Mercari where lightly used PS5s are often listed around $600 or less, and Amazon open-box can be "like new."

  • PS5 buyers who want a backup controller for couch co-op because commenters discussed that controller battery life is often around ~5 hours and that having an extra controller "would not be a bad thing" for longer sessions or when someone else plays.

  • Shoppers who were planning to rely on the promo code/coupon because several commenters reported the code was invalid or dead (e.g., "coupon code is invalid now," "code dead," "doesn't work").

  • Deal-hunters comparing against past Black Friday bundle pricing because multiple commenters said it's "not a good deal" and referenced earlier Black Friday PS5 bundles at $349.99 (Spider-Man 2 or COD) at Target.

  • People who are trying to wait for a much lower "real worth" price because one commenter said if you're not playing immediately, you should wait for the disc console to drop below $300.

  • Buyers who refuse to spend over $400 because one commenter said "I refuse to spend over $400" and instead bought a used slim digital for $275 plus a disc drive to keep the out-of-pocket cost under $400.

  • Movie-disc and Plex-streaming users because one commenter said PS5/XSX are "pretty bad movie disc players" without Dolby Vision and that Plex streaming support is also poor, recommending Roku Ultra/Apple TV instead.

  • People expecting the digital model to have more storage than the disc model because one commenter questioned why the digital version has less HD space than the disc version and expected the opposite.

Decent price, going to wait for black friday deals to get another one for my 2 kids who are now getting old enough and want to play games together instead of taking turns on my PS5.

Tried getting this but it keeps denying the transaction, I tried with multiple cards but it doesn't work
You probably have to pay by Klarna (financing) to get the discount is my guess. I was wondering if this was the case based on the code having klarna in it.

Did you bring a bodyguard to this cash transaction? Any receipt for warranty?
It was through Zelle. At that point, bringing a cellphone to any transaction justifies a bodyguard, especially since our phones are worth more than a Pro. Also yes I got a receipt

Was kinda hoping to see a deal on the PS5 pro. Im guessing probably not going to happen anytime soon though
Keep an eye on eBay and Mercari. They constantly get listed for $600 or less. I saw a very lightly used one go for $585 on Mercari and it was complete. Amazon tends to also have a lot of open box (like new) deals too. That's how I got mine.

Bingo. I bought a series x at launch for $500. It's now $650. So we can say it's worth $300 or should be $300 at this point but it's not.
Same, even paid ~30% less since Microsoft money was cheaper back than (Dell/Amex)

Some people actually do! Any amount of reference deal with facts being shared here greatly helps shape their decision to buy or not. I save 100% in deal by not buying right now lol
How is your pricing from 5 years ago relevant today? In contrast, people posting current FB marketplace prices are useful.

I downvoted this deal, justifiably so. Not a good deal. For reference, past Black Friday deal with Spiderman 2 game or COD was $349.99 at Target.
A lot of stuff was less expensive last year. Much less expensive. Something must have changed ...

Good deal considering there is now a 30% tariff in 2025. Cost for Sony went up.

Not really comparable. That was for clearance of the old fat PS5. I managed to snag one and some people who were lucky to get a price match with chat online for the slim bundle with a free game. YMMV

Klarna lets you pay for a purchase over time. Basically, an online line-of-credit with promotional payment terms. Since you mentioned Venmo, you might be familiar with PayPal and their 'pay in 4' or PayPal Credit payment options. Klarna is similar to that.
