That was many years ago, even before covid. I also remember I paid $200 for a Ps4 + Uncharted 4 bundle but this is a thing of past. I miss those days.

Now Sony's only remaining competitor is PC (Steam), and Steam is selling games for less because they don't subsidize hardware. Sony now wants to make money out of hardware, so that they can match (at least try to match) prices on Steam. In short, consoles won't be subsidized anymore. PS5 is already cheaper than PCs with similar performance.

Bingo. I bought a series x at launch for $500. It's now $650. So we can say it's worth $300 or should be $300 at this point but it's not.

Same for the ps5. Maybe there will be a better black Friday bundle offer but this is as good a deal as you can get now.

If you keep talking about how much something should be thinking that'll get you one at that price then you'll be sitting in the corner rocking yourself back and forth ranting about how cheap things used to be. And you won't have the ps5 etc.
