The PS5 Slim disc bundle stands out for getting the 1TB disc model and free shipping, with the disc version adding more storage and a drive that would cost about $80 separately. The console is described as running smoothly, and the extra controller add on is framed as useful backup value, especially for longer sessions or local multiplayer. The main drawback is price, since the deal is compared unfavorably with past Black Friday PS5 bundles and cheaper used or open box options. The promo code also stopped working, so the offer appears to have expired.
Common Questions (5)
Waiting was suggested because Black Friday was expected to bring $50-$100 off, and some pointed to bundles with an extra controller or a new game as better value. The earlier low-price comparisons were also described as short-lived doorbusters or clearance pricing, not a stable benchmark.
It was widely judged poor value versus prior PS5 promotions, with past Black Friday bundles like Spider-Man 2 or COD cited at $349.99 and some saying the disc console is only worth buying now if you plan to play immediately. A few comments still call it acceptable if you want the console now, but better prices were expected later.
No. The code was reported as invalid, dead, or no longer working, and the deal was also said to be dead by noon PST. If the checkout code fails, the promotion is no longer active.
The digital PS5 Slim has 825GB, while the disc version has 1TB and includes the disc drive. The disc model's extra storage and drive are part of why some see it as the better value for only about $50 more.
The disc version is described as not upgradable for storage beyond its built-in 1TB, even though it has an NVMe slot that can take up to 8TB. The disc drive itself is included on the disc model, and the retail price of the drive alone was cited at about $80.

Series X is actually on clearance at some stores like BJ for around $350 since it seems Microsoft will stop making them. Or they are getting out of the hardware business.
$55 for the extra controller isn't bad. What's the usual life for one of these controllers? It's just me playing so don't need a 2nd but to have as a backup isn't the worst thing.
Maaan, don't be disingenous. That deal only lasted a few minutes and it was actually meant for just the console only. Some got lucky and got the bundle.
Using this very YMMV doorbuster price as a benchmark is not realistic

Yep especially with all the price increases from tariffs.
Food and gas are down, so I don't know what you're talking about
