The PS5 Slim disc bundle stands out for getting the 1TB disc model and free shipping, with the disc version adding more storage and a drive that would cost about $80 separately. The console is described as running smoothly, and the extra controller add on is framed as useful backup value, especially for longer sessions or local multiplayer. The main drawback is price, since the deal is compared unfavorably with past Black Friday PS5 bundles and cheaper used or open box options. The promo code also stopped working, so the offer appears to have expired.
The PS5 Slim Disc 1TB model reportedly runs smoothly for about 1.5 years without needing an upgrade to PS6.
The disc version can add a disc drive and 1TB storage for about $50 more than the 825GB digital model.
An extra DualSense controller bundle can be a practical add-on when waiting for better Black Friday options.
The controller backup idea can make sense when typical battery life is around five hours and charging takes a couple hours.
The promo code reportedly fails to work, with multiple reports that the code is invalid or dead and the deal may be over.
The deal is criticized as not good value because past Black Friday PS5 bundles reportedly hit $349.99 at Target with games like Spider-Man 2 or COD.
The digital model reportedly has only 825GB storage, which can feel counterintuitive versus the disc version's larger storage.
The disc console deal is described as only worth buying immediately, with a suggestion to wait for the disc price to drop below $300.

Do people buy a PS5 to play something like madden and marvel vs capcom only? Those were pretty much the games I wasn't interested in back then with PS2. With PS1, I recall syphon filter was good. SNES you had mortal kombat and super mario and mariokart.
If you planning to play by yourself, is it worth buying a PS5 for this? I know you can play online against other players so that is what most people do anyway right? Seems weird if you were to play madden with someone next to you, well they know what plays you going to play since it's the same screen. The last time I played any type of video games was on PS2 and on my old pentium windows laptop when it was windows 2000 or so and before XP and played like the roms of mortal kombat and madden. With the computer, this was like 2004 and before though. The thing is I heard of call of duty and fortnite but none of that would interest me as I have seen how it looked. None of those games interest me. Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil were games that were interesting though. But mainly madden and like marvel vs capcom. Or you can just play those games online on the computer?
