Tbh it's possible. Has anyone checked this brand? I feel like most of them get away with it.

Pretty sure this brand was named in Consumer Report's latest report that showed all the lead in protein powders. From what I recall it was mostly vegan proteins with Naked protein having the highest concentrations of lead.

Consumer reports isn't a reliable source of info as they used prop 65 as their metric which is well below safe limits. It's a non issue.

That article states that "CR's level of concern for lead, which is 0.5 micrograms per day". Half of a microgram per day. The FDA guidance to align with the CDC target blood lead reference value is 2.2 micrograms per day for children, 8.8 micrograms per day for women of child bearing age, and around 12 for everyone else. Strikes me as weirdly fear-mongery.

CR likes to find unreasonably low limits like the Prop 65 limit and then show levels of lead/cadmium that are well above that (but well below what's believed to be safe) because it gets their articles a lot of attention. But it really pollutes the information environment, because then people who already don't know much on the topic start arguing about different standards.
