I've had it for a few months and really can't recommend it enough. I did a ton of FDM 3D printing from about 2013 to 2020, then focused on resin printing until buying this printer. So I was behind the times, but I've had perfect print quality from this unit with default settings, and the best feature is that you can load multiple spools of the same material, and when one runs out it will automatically switch to the next spool and keep printing. You just have to have them entered as the same color and material

There are tools to convert 3mf to STL, here is an example:https://imagetostl.com/convert/file/3mf/to/stl

At first, I was like "Dang it, I just bought one!" But when I attempted to go through the motions of buying another one to see what the final price would be, it came out to the same as I paid for it the other day. HUGE relief! When it was all said and done, mine was $251 and this one was the same.

Recently picked up the Flashforge Adventurer 5M (basically the single color version of this).
I am blown away by how well my $180 printer performs, and if I could go back in time knowing what I know now, I would not hesitate to pick up the multi color version.

I just received the Anycubic. The Flashforge is a CoreXY, which has a couple of advantages for certain types of printing (taller prints, or extremely fast speeds). But the Anycubic has a bigger bed and it has the Ace Pro which also serves as a filament dryer. You can also stack two Ace Pros for 8 colors if you want to go crazy.

The reviews for both printers seem quite positive and clearly they can both produce great results. At these prices I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

i bought two. one had a problem where the y axis sensor got knocked off by one of the mechanisms i think because the bracket came a little misaligned. CS sent me a replacement super quick, i had to fidget with the alignment, and its been printing great ever since.
the other had a problem where no matter what i did i wasn't able to get a good print i think because one of the belts was loose. i ended up returning it and im considering either buying another one or to get something like a kobra s1 combo for the larger print bed and AI print failure detection features.
I have had a great time printing on the first one. I've bought a camera to monitor the prints, and have ordered the enclosure. i have to say i've had bad experience with the out of the box QC but at least the customer service is fast and helpful. it also looks like there's extra parts available on aliexpress which is reassuring.

I ordered this last time and it's been good! I have a question for the other users. When I download a 3mf file and open it in orca, it always gives me errors, I'm assuming because the file is made for a bambu. The main one I get is about relational positioning or something like that(g92 iirc). I tried opening it in the Bambu slicer and exporting it and a generic 3mf but still get the same issues. Is there a good process to get Bambu files to work on this?

Good price point — can it print flexible materials like TPU? 4 colors - maximum?
4 colors max but is possibly only printer you can load TPU and PLA, PETG etc. at same time. Only note is that the spool system is spring loaded, so I don't think you can easily run a custom dry box

They have files for dry boxes you can print out, I did it for both of my AD5Xs. They are great, unlike my Anycubic S1s, which suck for a ton of reasons.

I do like the AMS units that also function as a filament dryer. How long does filament last out in the open before it needs to be re-dried? I've had PETG print issues until I dried it and then it worked great. I think PLA last longer in open air.

Ohhhhh dang, you just sold me on this printer. I've been drooling over the 5M sales for a while, but the ability to have a backup spool loaded is huge.
