For anyone wondering, the game is basically Space Invaders with what looks like wireframe style graphics. The sequel is also like 50 cents if this is your sort of thing.

How do you keep these free games from cluttering up your gaming library?

I have hundreds of games bought cheaply during steam sales over the years.

Yes, it was free last year too. There are several games that periodically go free for a short time.

All I know is you can individually "Hide" each game and then they only show up when you enable or look at the Hidden section. AFAIK every time you start up Steam, it loads a complete list of every game you "own" and the longer it gets the longer it takes. I found a faster PC made a big difference so my guess is the list is probably nothing more than each game's ID number and is more CPU intensive than network intensive.

You can also make a separate Steam account that you collect free games in and switch between accounts. For those of us who didn't think of that earlier, "it's too late for me now, son".
