Any idea how fast the batteries degrade if it isn't used much? 10 years sounds like a long time but comes quickly if this is just intended for backup power.

How much margin do they make on these things? I feel like the battery tech prices have fallen but I havent seen jackery reduce price much. To me something like this should be $200

Try out the unit as a pass through power source. That way you can find out if your unit has an F6 problem - bad inverter. The F6 trouble code will show on the display.

And probably $75 in the electronic components and materials. And 30% on tariffs.
I would consider buying it if it was $600, but I do agree that I think manufacturers of portable power stations need to update their prices to reflect the modern costs of LiFePO4 batteries.

This might be the same one I bought at costco 3 weeks ago when on a work trip in Colorado. It was $650, and came with a solar panel. NVM it was the 1000 plus

Batteries need some use. If it's just sits there dead for a year or two you will most likely will be in trouble. Most recommend running these roughly once a month, 3 months at the most. I've heard storing these at around 60 percent battery is best. But i've heard some differing opinions on that , so not a hundred percent sure on that one...

can you point to where you found about this issue? WHen I used it initally in that manner, I got the F6 error. Resetting did not fix it, Then I let it sit for a day and then it went away. I cant reproduce the F6 error now but am concerned since it is returnable,

I do not understand how these runtimes make any sense. The unit is advertised as having 2042 Wh battery. If we multiply out the values in their image, here are the utilizations:
Refrigerator (200W) * 26 hours = 5200 watts
Coffee Maker (550W) * 3 hours = 1650 watts
Light (4.6W) * 64 hours = 294.4 watts
Mobile Phone (29W) * 80 times = 2320 watts

I know the first three examples are losing some efficiency from DC to AC, and the low load on the light is probably going to kill the battery early due to invertor inefficiency, but how do we end up powering a 200W (refrigerator) load for a solid 26 hours (2.5x the battery capacity), or running the unit to a 278 watt deficit while charging phones?

The compressor that cools the fridge doesn't run constantly, so it wouldn't be a steady 200w draw.

Absolutely. I plugged a Kuerig Elite into my 1000 v2 at ~1400W only on re-heat cycles, otherwise was drawing 1-2W in idle (running the clock display lol). At that rate, I'd measure capacity at about 50 cups of Joe!
