Why a thumbs down? That's the order that is most effective for people looking for accessories to the new iPhone 17 they just bought and look for that 17 first, but showing "17-12" means it's compatible with all MagSafe iPhones for those that decided not to buy the newest greatest iPhone.

I bought one a few weeks ago and it is working out well. I like that it is a mount and charger all in one. I previously had a mount and a wired charger. It securely holds my phone; I haven't hit any bumps that have knocked it loose yet. I also bought a MagSafe case for an iPhone 11, and it works with it as well.

dumb question, how do you figure out the "ball socket" size, i have a Magsafe car charger from another vendor that has a gooseneck mount, i want to see if this charger will fit on my gooseneck mount

As indicated, it's meant for iphones. Unfortunately I did not do my due diligence and purchased this intending to use in a samsung phone, only to realize i won't get fast charging unless I use a samsung fast wireless charger.

Almost all the ball mount accessories I have bought over the years have interchangeably worked with each other. No matter which brand I've bought. No guarantees on this one but I'd guess it probably would work.
