I bought the Ryzen 7 7735HS 15.6" one with 16GB RAM. I have it for a couple of weeks. Battery is ok. I used mostly for basic stuff, playing videos and music, using Word, Excel, internet browsing. I felt pretty good with the purchase. lightweight enough to carry around for a 15" laptop. The keyboard was good, touch pad was ok. The laptop was never hot. For this price, it is pretty good spec.

The build quality on these isn't the greatest but for $400 you can't expect too much. CPU is pretty meh and the screen leaves a lot to be desired. It's good enough to stream and browse the internet. Luke warm buy.

Seller's return policy FYI:
"You may return new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original product packaging.

We will inspect the returned product. We will verify the serial number for all returns. For any return with the wrong serial number, we will charge at least 50% restocking fee. 10-20% restocking fee may be imposed on item returned based on their return condition."

Seller's recent reviews are not so good. I am going to skip this one.

I wonder if prices will go up with the Chinese tarrifs.... might be a good buy. idk anything else that is cheaper. wish it had an RTX GPU but would for sure add a hundred or two to the cost.

You're not gonna get anything with an NPU (marketed as AI processing) for a good price. Not to mention NPUs have no real use-case for users. NPUs cannot run any LLMs or actually provide any AI usage that a user would notice when using the OS. NPUs at present day are gimmicks and SHOULD NOT be baseline for what constitutes a good laptop.

Most standalone GPUs on laptops already have tensor cores (RTX/Arc/AMD)- NPUs don't add anything to a laptop if you're already getting a GPU already. If it was just a laptop/PC with an APU like the Ryzen AI Max/ Strix Halo (which is not cheap)- then an NPU would be an interesting factor which would be able to use RAM as VRAM.

Any confirmation on if the 16GB of ram is a single stick? If so that's going to kill the performance of the 680M graphics.

The previous deal with Ryzen 7 7735HS was significantly better. The older 680m iGPU on this is really old.
This CPU is about as performant as a 12th generation i5 or Core Ultra 5 226V cpu, but will have much worse battery life and power efficiency.
Combined with ho hum specs across the rest of the build I'm having trouble coming up with a use case for this machine that wouldn't be better served with a Chromebook or if Windows is a requirement then a more modern low end laptop or a mini PC.
A M4 Mac mini costs $50 more than this and is a far better machine. For windows an 8870 based mini pc is probably even cheaper.

The 7735 is a rebrand of the 6800. Really, it's just the wattage difference, the 6800h is higher performing because it uses higher wattage (which is basically just H vs HS in AMD speak). But apples to apples, it's the same chip.

A 7735HS has a 680m iGPU.

Why are you posting misinformation?

Is it because you want to sell something entirely different from the item in this thread? You really need to brush up on the thing you're attempting to tar if you want to convince anyone and move those units!

I like that we are getting other companies entering the market but I am curious of quality and longevity.

I'm currently using a laptop with a Ryzen 5 processor. I'm considering an upgrade to this model with a Ryzen 7, as it seems more advanced. For everyday tasks and multitasking, will I notice a significant improvement in speed and performance?

Just got it. For basic things, it is great, even light gaming it is decent. Don't expect high quality graphics though.

Hmmm, looks pretty good. This is basically just one of the hundreds of mini PCs with a integrated screen. Nice. Just as long as I can add to/replace the memory I'd be fine with it.
