Fake Rolex salespeople on canal street in lower Manhattan were just raided and taken by ICE so this might be next best alternative to being as close to the real thing

Not entirely true. You just have to go to a AD/Rolex Store that's willing to actually take your name down. I'm a nobody and while it took over a year, a Rolex Store did actually call me and I got a stainless steel sport model at MSRP. I've never bought a single thing from that store nor from the AD that runs the store nor did I know the salesman.

Can you still buy them at duty-free stores? I heard that was a cheap way to buy them the same day (if they happen to have them in-stock) in Dubai and Amsterdam
