FYI, we have a charging drawer. I just keep a few usb c to lightning, usb c to usb a and usb c to micro usb adapters there. Now we only use usb c to usb c cables.
I've been using these things for years. They are fun for projects too. I had an old Harman Kardon Onyx Studio speaker that the sound board failed on and I hate wasting good parts so I took it apart, bypassed the original board. I drilled a couple of holes on the top/back of the speaker, added some speaker terminals to the casing, and attached the HK components to them. Then, I took some industrial Velcro and stuck on of these just below the terminals and wired the left/right channels to the amp. It worked a treat until failed it took about a 20ft tumble off of a mobile fixture at my work when someone forgot to unplug the surge protector it had the misfortune of being plugged into.
