This is M3 though, how is it compare to M4? Basically trading CPU for better memory + hd specs?

Yes, that is correct. And also, this is the lowest for this model/specs after many weeks; previously, it was this price at Costco some months ago, I believe.

dang i just bought the amazon 1099 one. i guess i'll do the switcheroo then...
EDIT: nvm this is 13 inch. I bought the 15 inch. I probably need to go sleep now
