I started originally in the Smartthings ecosystem and have the door contact sensor added in my smartthings app with my gen2 Zwave hub. These also migrate to Home assistant with Smartthings intergration but AFAIK and i could be wrong they depend on cloud to be active. Ideally they should work directly in HA with Zwave dongle.
