is ams2 pro worth the extra $130? e.g could buy p1s + ams2 separately for about 679
The first year of printing i was super cautious to keep filament dry and added tons of silica to my AMS and kept humidity down to 10%. This summer i had to move the printer in the garage and keeping up with humidity was impossible. The AMS was always over 30% on good days. I stopped sealing up my filament. So far, i have not had any issues. So depending on where you will keep the printer and what materials you print, you may not need the drying functionality that much.

I am trying to make two different points.
A1-A1 mini is not worth it when you can get AD5X. A1-A1 mini were my recommendations for beginners before AD5X came. If you want a mini-van, go for the one that is bang for your buck.
Second, do not really like that Bambu is not innovating to sell more AMS. Also h2c is going to be 2k+
That H2C definitely can't be cheap can it. I do wonder how AMS mixes with multiple heads staying loaded with filament at the same time...I don't get how that would work.

if you care about resellebility don't get near AD5X. People don't buy Flashforge even for 20% of their original cost. In the meanwhile, every Bambu I had sold within 24h for 80-90% of original price (and one A1 for 110% of original price lol)

I was wondering the same thing. Unfortunately not FrownFrom their website: "The following attributes are excluded from price matching:We cannot price match special sales such as Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday."
They did last year. I bought there to save on shipping.

I also wonder if Best Buy will have the same sale

Since its like one step above H2D, so it cant be cheaper than that.
For color/material change, It will be like H2D with swapping nozzle setup. So every-time it needs to change color in that swappable nozzle, it will do similar to what it does in H2D, cut, drop nozzle(new step), pick new nozzle, push next filament, purge whatever was remaining from last cut, prime tower to equalize the pressure and then print. Only saving you will get is time and filament saved that was required for purging the last material/color. For the other head, just like H2D it will have its separate filament path, and switching to that will be faster.

Single filament path will always be slow, thats why this system is flawed.

I hate this. Just made the decision. I thought I had made a lot harder. My Creality v3ke has been giving me issues and I keep putting money in time into fixing it, but for that specific model, there are a ton of parts available.

I had pretty much decided on the P2S but was really hesitate to spend that much money and would wait a while. For $500 though....
It would still be a lot better than what I have.

I bought the P1 on release in nov 22 for 700 or 800 bucks (this was without an enclosure). The P1S being 400 bucks or 550 with the ams is mind boggling. I assume this price is the best they are going to get before they are out of stock with the P2S being released. Coming from a heavily modified ender 3 v2 (lots of servicing) I have never serviced my P1 (only nozzle changes) and has never broken down. It has been extremely reliable for me.
That is what I am facing with my Ender V3KE. I feel like I spend more time fixing it and the parts just aren't that available for upgrading. I had been planning on later getting the new P2S. Knowing you came from a similar situation, do you have any strong opinions on the P2S versus P1S that I should consider?

I just spent $499 on the P1S during the last sale. Now the combo is $550. It's still less than 30 days. Is there any chance they'll match the sale price to provide the combo? Any advice?

I google around. if I need something utility durable, just print in PETG instead and use A1 is fine right?

Well, I was all set to wait for the P2S to come in stock with the various upgrades it provides over the P1S (even watched a few videos).

Now... well... it's a lot harder since I could take that extra money and buy filament and then sell it later.
