The cost of Distilled Water goes up 39%

So the last few times I've gone into a Smart & Final to buy this (1 gallon) it's been out of stock so it's been almost 3 months since I've bought this. I used to buy these for $1.00 each and now I've come to find it's gone up 39 cents! It's not like I can't afford a 39 cent increase but it's an insulting 39% price increase, while most of our salaries have not gone up nearly similarly. I still have a decent amount of Bespresso pods to use up before I have to decide if I want to keep feeding my CBTL / Caffitaly machine the distilled water it asks for. The pods themselves only cost about 30 cents each when I buy them in bulk.

So where do you guys buy your distilled water at? This was previously the cheapest price I could find anywhere in person.

I have seen a lot of things that have gone up that used to be in the 1.00 range. i bet the water cost is due to the weight and size. Just think of how much shelf space it takes and how many are on a pallet.
I have seen pasta and soup that both used to be on sale for 99 cents now soup is 1.59-179 which is a lot more percentage wise.
I wonder if the dollar store would be less?

Does the machine actually ask for distilled, I could not find anything that said distilled? Many sites commecnted that you need some minerals to have the full coffee flavor. You could probably use a Reverse Osmosis filter for less money and more convenience. The company actually sells filter for some coffee makers

In Canada they are renamed so the web site has a different name

That Strange Feeling of Déjà Vu — Explained [clevelandclinic.org]
Quote :
Health conditions and déjà vu

Some health conditions can cause déjà vu, including:
  • Fatigue or sleep deprivation: If you're not getting enough sleep (or enough restful sleep), it can disrupt the recognition processes in your brain. That may also explain why people are often more likely to experience this phenomenon in the evenings.
  • Stress and anxiety: In times of stress, your brain can change how you perceive and process information. It's a kind of coping mechanism to create some distance between what's happening around you and how you're experiencing it.
  • Migraines: People who are prone to migraines may find that they experience déjà vu either during the aura phase or during the migraine episode itself. Migraine pain can be disorienting and make it harder to process new information and recall memories.
  • Dementia: People who have frontotemporal dementia often experience persistent déjà vu and tend to try to rationalize the illusion.
  • Temporal lobe epilepsy and seizures: Not all seizures are what you see in the movies. "Seizures that are restricted to the temporal lobe can cause a misfire that creates the feeling of déjà vu, rather than shaking or other motor symptoms," Dr. Khoury reports.
