Victim was found dead of sepsis contracted from a sharpened spork. Two conflicting compasses likely contributed to wandering off the clearly marked trail. Hypothermia was a factor as victim had carried only a ferrocerium rod instead of a lighter.
Additonal injuries on the cadaver include bruising on thigh from bulky survival kit.

Edit: two ferrocerium rods. And two lengths of paracord...
This looks like someone dumped a truck stop spinny rack into a pouch and marketed the tacticool.

It's fine as long as you remember rule 2: double-tap.

Only good for surviving the backyard. But honestly, still better than nothing.

Not better than nothing if it gives you a false sense of security that stops you from buying quality emergency items or if the items fail during an emergency and cause injury or inhibit rescue.

It does come with a scrapper which is useful if you come across a belligerent drunk

30 tools, and a full four of them are bottle openers... in the face of imminent doom, the manufacturer decided the only truly unforgivable tragedy would be a cold one you couldn't access. Four survivors? Four simultaneous bottle-opening opportunities. Cheers!

I've purchased these items separately from temu and the likes. Some items are actually pretty good. The worst is usually the hand saw string thing and the compass. The Paracord whistle thing actually works. For the price it is actually pretty decent.

In the hands of someone who knows how to use these items, it is all better than having to improvise. These little ferocium rods are usually cheaply glued and of short length. It will spark, but if your skill sucks, it won't do you any favors. Even good ones are challenging in windy wet conditions.

even the water bottle belt holder is pretty good, but it has to be the full lid style and not the reduced plastic style lid.

keeping your hands free and not leaving equipment behind (happens a lot... and leaving your water bottle is critical because reliable ways to carry water is limited in the field).

I wouldn't use the knife to batton and split wood... but it's better to have this knife than trying to nap a cutting implement out of rocks.

if you have a Ferrocerium rod and cant start a fire I have no words ROFL ! I can light a wet rock with a Ferrocerium rod! That being said for like $2 at Harbor freight you can get the rod attached to a Magnesium bar which is a big improvement to the rod alone!
