Wondering this too. Do they check serial number upon return?
they wont check if you return un-open computer. It is not like mac order, where they have serial number assigned to each order. In short you can return the new item on old order (within 90 days) and you are good to go.

Do I have to use their power adapter to be able to use the Nvidia GPU? Or can I use a PD 100w one?

Nope. I asked my sister who is an AVID Costco shopper and she said they DO NOT price adjust for Black Friday deals

Anyone have a few info to share about the build quality (especially the hinge)? Does the screen feel wobbly when you type on it? How about heat and fan noise at maximum load? What's the battery life like when running only on the integrated graphics card? Anything else worth sharing?

I called Costco to ask specifically this and you're right the warehouse will not price match. BUT Costco.com said they will as long as you put the price adjustment in on 11/27 (day of sale), I confirmed it with the rep on the phone before ordering. Long time lurker on the site and made an account just to share as I had the same question - awesome deal.

Was looking at this to replace my aging LG Gram (17" screen, Core i7, 16GB RAM) which has been surprisingly awesome for the last 4-5 years. It even, more or less, replaced my desktop computer. Which I guess isn't that uncommon these days.

And now Costco just dropped the price on one of their LG Gram laptops----to $1,250.00.

I did examine with this Lenovo in my local Costco store, and it's definitely heavier than the Gram. But other than that, the Lenovo has better specs in almost every category, although it does have a slightly smaller screen and the SSD is only 1GB vs the Gram's 2GB.

Does anyone have experience with both?

I bought LG Gram last year model 15.6 (1080) inch with Ultra 7 155H and return it. It was okay experience meaning nothing stand out apart from it was little light weight for 15.6 (screen was okay). Since LG is pretty thin they throttle CPU and sometime you don't get best out of even high end processor.

Just for comparison between both and Lenovo hands down the best (apart from weight)

Any thoughts on this laptop vs the Zenbook from BB open box in Excellent condition for $888?
I know this IdeaPad has a dedicated GPU and a better screen. But I am really worried about the screen wobbling and hinges issue. I have another Zenbook and I really like the build quality. I am not a gamer at all, but will run some 3D simultions that can benefit from the GPU, but I can live without it if the trade off is the broken hinges 😅

ONLY 90 days warranty (YMMV if you can extend it with ASUS), 14 inch vs 16 inch 3k (you mentioned that difference), GPU (you mentioned it)...otherwise very similar in performance (since you're not gaming)

for reference

Don't know for certain, but my guess is that you'd need to use the rectangular plug. I'm presuming this laptop could charge off either that or USB-C, but the GPU may require more than 100w.

If you're using the GPU in short bursts, then maybe it can operate off PD using the battery as needed.

I don't know, I'm just speculating.
