Frustrated that I didn't wait. Bought it "on sale" for 1799 a week ago. This is my only problem right now with Lenovo is that they artificially inflate their prices to have "sales" and utilize weird coupon stacking. This also impacts their "price matching" which I put in finger quotes because the prices can't be matched as no one else is selling the exact configs they are putting together.
My Timespy score is: 26,648 and the CPU only reached 68c. (CPU score is 17,140).
Geekbench scores are 2,887- single core and 18,953-multicore
Novabench CPU score was 3,676.
I upgraded from a i711700KF which had massive overheating issues and I'll take the very quiet and cool laptop CPU all day after the research I did on it. Every single benchmark is at least double my previous "desktop" CPU. I also use this system for Lightroom and Topaz software which typically bakes the processor, but on this system, the times are significantly better. On my previous CPU, it would throttle down significantly to keep from overheating during those tasks.

laptop processor beware
That's a stupid comment lol. It's more AI focused, which I hate to be the bearer of bad news, is where all CPUs end GPUs are heading. The price to performance of raw semiconductor power wall has been slammed into. And these use way less power than the 13-14k series and AMD sets and don't need to be undervolted or overclocked all the time.

it is a weird PC it should be arround 1100$... we dont know the ports and MOBO specs/pics which is really important since it is a LAPTOP CPU a good cpu but a weird build what if my cooler doesnt fit(iv spend 500$ on noctua top of the line and now it wont fit in here)? Satas? pci lines? this product is made for gamers who dont care much about the real reach of his investment/machine
No, a 5070 Ti, i7 Ultra, AIO prebuilt should not be $1100. You're out of your mind with that. The GPU alone is $500+.

whats the point of the rtx 5070ti? you will not be able to use all the power of the gpu with this processor... in my opinion paying 1600 dollars in a laptop processor in a desktop computer is insanely stupid and dumb, but if you are go ahead and buy 10...

It's not a laptop processor. Go compare the highest end H, HX, U, etc variants to the Core i7 and i9. You're off your rocker with that. Even though they use less voltage than the 13th and 14th gen processors, they still put out enough heat to melt the most well ventilated laptops under heavy load. And it has AI subroutine features that boost core clock speed beyond the physical limitations of the CPU. This is the future. Intel and AMD are both going full AI from now on because semiconductor chips are too expensive to maintain the increasing demand and no one is going to pay $5000 for a 6090 with non boosted, chip-only rasterizarion, which is what it would realistically cost to get that much raw performance.

Sweet spot for what, exactly? Because it aint gaming.
You must not be a big gamer or truly know how memory works!

Is this a good price even if it is a laptop chip and so dimm ram? How much will it bottleneck this GPU?

I think when you are doing 1440p gaming and beyond you're more gpu bound than cpu compute power. Correct me if I am wrong?

How many Sata ports does the motherboard have? Also, any way to install multiple 3.5" HDD to this case (if anyone owns or has attempted the same)?
you can install 2 sata HDD and 1 additional nvme, if the motherboard is same (mines 2 yrs old). But I dont recommend buying legion I've had multiple issues..

My current desktop (7 years old i5 Legion) and laptop (10+ years old Yoga) are both Lenovo, and both have been 100% reliable (neither has ever had a hardware issue). Therefore I have a good opinion of the brand (I understand that the company may be totally different now). I was considering a Lenovo Legion prebuilt if one with attractive specs happened to be in my price range this holiday season. Can you expound upon the types of issues you have experienced? Thank you!

Thank you for the reply.
Reviews online are vague on the motherboard specs except for the chipset used. There's suggestions of upto 6 sata ports, hence the question.
Its also an mATX case, so space inside the case is restricted. I have 4 hdd (3.5") and 1 sdd (2.5"), plus an NVMe to house.
Overall, the specs seem more than decent, so definitely intriguing.
I'd be curious to know more on your hesitations recommending the brand/make.

Would this be good for a video editing machine? For Premiere and After Effects.

Processor sips power but GPU pulls 350 watts. CPU will probably bottleneck the 5070 ti. If it has any hope to keep up the cpu will be pusbing its 150 watt limit so its not accomplishing much. Why pick the 5th fastest GPU and pair it with the 50th fastest CPU? Makes zero since.
CPU is fast and sips power. GPU rocks and is 300 watts, not 350. This rig will likely be cooler and quieter than anything else you can recommend.

The mods close deals randomly without bothering to check. This deal never expired. The deals that are expired take hours to be closed, while active deals are closed. This website has turned into garbage.
