I've been running in the Pegasus regularly for over a decade. It's not my absolute favorite shoe but it's still good and nothing else similar is ever at a price this good. I'm thinking about buying another pair even though I have a pair already that's good for another few hundred.

I've been running with Pegasus since the 35 and these 41 are my absolute least favorite. I have narrow feet so Nikes usually suit me well. These sit too high on my ankle and cause pain the balls of my feet

These are not a highly technical running shoe and one of my favorite models for weekend trips where I have one pair of shoes for running and walking. I wear other models for racing or long runs but these are fine for walking. If you're concerned, there are better walking shoes for sure.
What are the best shoes for walking? I do incline treadmill and road. 15k steps/day road minimum and 30 mins treadmill 4x/wk. Currently walking in nike free 2019s, which have been fine, but I know they're more minimalist and probably not the best for walking long term.

I disagree. Although I've never ran in these, adizero boston 12 were cheaper and is a very good running shoe

Are these for serious running or mostly for walking around?
I've run in Nike Pegasus for marathon training since the early 2000's I bet I've owned 100 pairs of Pegasus over the years...however, the last few years of Pegasus aren't nearly as good in my personal experience. The Vomero's are still good so far, though. The Vomero's last longer but cost more. Both of these are for neutral soled runners.

I've run marathons and done a lot of training in Adizero's and Pegasus and the Adizero's are good and have better quality than the last couple years of Nike Pegasus models.

I'm also currently on my 4th pair of Bostons. think I got them all about 50% off. I alternate between the Boston and Pegasus. IMO the Boston is a little better but I've been paying a little more for them

Not sure there's a "best" for... anything unless there's more specifics. Hoka Clifton, Nike Pegasus, New Balance 880, Puma Velocity Nitro, Adidas SL2, ASICS Cumulus, are all good shoes. Which fits best or has the right firmness will vary by user. Then there's an option in every brand if you want even more cushion, or stability, or bounce. For your use, you should be able to find a wide variety that work.
