this one is faster and slightly more accurate. these really are about a second to read, and my thermapop is usu. closer to 3-4 in real world use. i got it on sale for $28 though and for that it's slamming.
still tempted for this but as a home chef, there's no way that 2-3 seconds matters to me.
this is still a killer deal though on a fantastic product.

I use my thermopop daily and it definitely is not that slow. I'd say 1-2 sec at most. Sometimes it really feels instantaneous.
