was just released last month, just curious why you would believe it's going away next year? *EDIT mis-understood this model (going away) VS Tax Credit LOL

(yes there are lots of 3 series models, but no Delta 3 Pro. Delta PRO 3 is on the PRO line (capable of 240V), not on the 3 series product line)

It's the federal energy credit that's going away.

Yes. It's ideal for that use.

What's the process to obtain that credit?

Depends on what exactly you intend to run. There is nothing really cryptic about them. First, you have the inverter output. In this case 3600w. If you can parallel 2 these for 240v, then of course 7200w total in that case. If your load is less, great, but more, not so much. Next, you have the battery capacity. Almost always listed as watt hours on power stations. It is just that. In the case of these, 3000wh. It means it has 3000watts will last for 1 hour, 300watts for 10hrs, 30 watts for 100, get the idea? Also for an estimate, you should subtract about 20% right off the top for inverter efficiency. Some of the better ones are 85%+ efficient, but others are not, and that efficiency varies with load. For example a cheap low quality inverter may be 80% at best, but like 60% at certain load levels. Last of all, you have to figure out how much charging (example solar) you are going to input to prolong/keep it going. Don't forget the sun doesn't shine 24/7, panels don't output max in all conditions, nor is the charger in the power stations overhead free so lots of variables there. That said, 3kwh is probably not near enough to run a household normally, even if the inverter output is high enough. Especially if you aren't adding a good amount of solar. Look at the daily power usage on your power bill. It's probably 5-10+ times as much as the capacity of this unit. Just for a few basics like a fridge, sone lights, etc...then something like this could last you pretty well, even indefinitely with an appropriate modest amount of solar.
