I've always wondered how people plug these in. Who has a plug at their end of house? I have a couple plugs outside but they're in the middle of the house by the door

Depends on quite a bit. My outdoor plugs are spot on. But you can put an adapter in your porch lights, etc as well.

I had an electrician install a new outside outlet. Cost as much as the LED set but worth it now I don't have to string lights every holiday. Now have lights for every occasion, Halloween, 4th of July, Christmas. St Patrick's day, etc etc.

I'm had these installed for just over 3 years and they are fine. I'm in Florida where there is a lot of heat, rain and humidity but not much cold weather. Maybe those with ice and snow don't have as long of a lifespan.
