This Pyle mini amplifier is mainly a low-cost way to run two speakers, especially for ceiling, garage, shop, or TV setups. It has useful connectivity for Bluetooth, RCA, 3.5 millimeter input, and USB or SD playback, and the USB or SD slot can even play FLAC files. The compact size and binding posts make it practical for simple installs. The main cautions are distortion, hiss, humming, and vague power claims, with reliability and quality control questioned. A budget pick for basic sound, not a serious hi-fi amp.

I bought the Pyle PDA29BU.5, which was 200 watt and returned it because it buzzed and buzzed at low volume levels.

Pyle used have some great subwoofers called "Pile Drivers". I haven't really paid attention to their products in a long time. I'll read up on them and see.

edit: Pyle Audio is a budget brand, hence the $30 sale price tag here. I mean for $30? Seems ok for what you get. Probably a great gift for someone just starting out in the hobby. True audiophiles should look elsewhere.

I've had one of these on my garage TV with a firestick for a couple years and some KLH speakers I've had for decades. Couldn't be happier.

You can go on craigslist, fb marketplace, goodwill and do much better by buying an actual AV receiver.

The Pyle wouldn't seem like a bad idea at $30, but if it hisses and pops when there is no sound then that would be a deal breaker. If you want a mini amp just go to Dayton Audio website, and type in mini amplifier. Anything from there should be okay. I've had the lepai lp-2020a+ and the Dayton audio dta30hp, and both are great. I use them with my projector, desktop PC, and my grandma's tv. Dont get wrapped up in wattage output as most of it is crap. Car stereos for instance usually only output 11-15w per channel with super high end stuff putting out 22watts per channel. Look at this Pyle's power input. It doesn't even have 100w power supply. If you loaded up its capacitors maybe it could hit 200w in a short burst? If an amp can actually do 15w-30w per channel that should be plenty for most folks. You can also get a good deal on bookshelf speakers from goodwill or FB marketplace. You should have no problem finding 6x9 boxed car speakers for a good price too.

edit; this guy does a review on a similar model Pyle

These are good little amps. I use them to power ceiling speakers in a few businesses. But this price isn't anything too special.
I am also thinking of getting this to power ceiling speakers. Do you mind sharing what sort of cables i need to purchase to connect this to wall plug with red and black binding posts?

If you want a good quality compact amp/dac get one from Fosi Audio. If you're on a very tight budget, this will work.
The specs are very vague:. They don't say anything about distortion, 100W RMS is most certainly not measured at 8ohm, not even a trace of supported BT version etc.

I had the older version of this and it lasted maybe a year and then it died, I was using it as a stereo connected to my TV to two 100w speakers.

It's just like your denon except the exact opposite.

"Great?" Not even close. Pyle Drivers were always for people who wanted loud for cheap in a hurry, and didn't really care much about the sound, as long as it sounded mostly like music. Back in the day, I replaced more of them than I installed.

Most owners didn't bother trying to resell them because they were virtually worthless secondhand. Instead, many were burnt up in one last max volume blast off before replacing them. That is, if they weren't already crackling when they arrived.

Every time I see a Pyle product, I'm once again shocked that the brand still exists. They must have improved some, because you'd have to commission your own factory to avoid basic quality control these days.

If I had need for a cheap amp in my wood shop, or in an automotive service bay, I'd buy something like this. Any more critical use deserves better.
