I once got a ugly yellow jacket for around $14 on this site. It was a great deal. It was a Lands End outfitters, and I only used it while at my Construction job.

Now I realize this jacket might be warmer and Superior, but I cannot help but think $222 is just way too much for a non-slick deal, with my extremely tight frame of reference.

Yeah, The North Face is not cheap; this jacket typically sells for $370, see here [backcountry.com]. I think perhaps the colors REI is selling are last season/last year, thus the discount.
